He is said to be a Death Knight of 53rd level. Hailing from Xithan Terrorguard in the Deadlands, he is said to have tied back hair, blue eyes and corpselike skin. His muscular figure, proudly displaying his body tattoos has been sighted rushing into battle with a crude warcry.

When girded for battle, he is known to wield his Cone of Death Sceptre and Runed Black Starsteel Longsword (Decent), and is arrayed in his Black Starsteel Full Plate (Decent) and Endless Winter Aura (Decent). Foes are said to wither before the might of his Elder Two Headed Shadowdrake.

Lorthact is often seen riding into battle on his Elder Two Headed Shadowdrake.
